Located one mile from Motel Inverness, this vacation home is known as the Dacha. The Dacha is such an Inverness icon, many people know the town of Inverness only by this revered home that sits quite literally over the water of Tomales Bay.

Passing by, folks ask is it a house or some kind of church? It seems so very temple-like it's easy to understand why.

In fact, we think it is a temple - a temple to family, that is.

This magical building has been in the same family for generations now - and the joy they've felt there is truly contagious. Some say there's music coming through the walls - and we believe it.

From the intricate woodwork on the outside to the general feeling of magic and joy inside, we think it's the perfect spot to retreat from the world. And yet it's a short walk to downtown Inverness when you're ready to join the real world again.

The stained glass windows, piano, and woodstove in the fireplace make it all that much more cozy - and mysterious. Each of the 3 bedrooms have incredible views - as do the kitchen with its breakfast bar and the family room with windows on 3 sides.

With its own private beach, it's an idyllic location for launching your kayak or small sailboat.

Barbeque some oysters on your deck (we provide the grill) or pick up some crabs down the street and pretend you're a local. We won't tell.

The Dacha can accommodate up to 5 people in 3 bedrooms. Call us for Reservations.

The Dacha features a huge deck and marvelous Bay views.
